The off-season, the preparation period for the harvest, was completed within the planned schedule. "The maintenance of agricultural and industrial machinery and equipment was well done, rains occurred in the quantity and in the period favorable to the development of sugarcane, the sugarcane fields are very good and the employees are motivated. We are very optimistic, as this promises to be our biggest harvest”, said the CEO Otávio Lage de Siqueira Filho.
The company has invested in technology, irrigation, and research to achieve more productive sugarcane fields. Investments and favorable climatic conditions will enable an average agricultural productivity of approximately 90 tons per hectare, representing a growth of 8% over the previous harvest.
To mark the beginning of the 2018/1900 harvest, the company held ecumenical services in both production units, with the participation of employees, shareholders, directors, local authorities and students of the Luiz César Elementary School, maintained by the Jalles Machado Foundation.
