Electro Motors will start manufacturing electric vehicles in Goianésia. The physical space was given by Jalles Machado. The inauguration ceremony was held yesterday, 20th, and was attended by local authorities. The factory will initially produce electric motorcycles and, by the end of the year, will manufacture the first electric car in Brazil.
"Initially, the factory would be implanted in the Espírito Santo State, but due to the incentives, dedication and commitment of the former mayor of Goianésia, Jalles Fontoura, the former governor Marconi Perillo, and the CEO of Jalles Machado, Otávio Lage de Siqueira Filho, Electro Motors is being inaugurated in Goianésia," explains Carlos Eduardo Barbosa, CEO of Electro Motors.
The CCO of Jalles, Henrique Penna, represented the CEO of the company at the solemnity. "It's a factory that will generate jobs for Goianésia. We encourage this type of initiative that benefits the community. And if today this company is being deployed here was due to the effort and commitment of many people who deserve our recognition," he says.
Henrique Penna explains that companies have to adapt themselves to new trends in technology and consumption, especially those that generate environmental gains. "In the case of electric vehicles, we must pay attention to the energy source used. In ethanol cars, fuel comes from cane, a renewable source having, therefore, an environmentally sound cycle. It is important that countries also focus on stimulating the production of clean energy from renewable raw materials to supply these vehicles, such as wind, solar and biomass, which in our case is generated from bagasse and sugarcane straw,” he points out.
