TIM announces the signing of its first business of the "4G TIM no Campo" project in the city of Goianesia, State of Goias - GO. The initiative was carried out in partnership with the company Jalles Machado, a reference in the national sugar and ethanol industry, and was brokered by the Industrial Pro-Development Association of the State of Goias (Adial). The project aims to use 4G mobile technology to "light up" the field aiming to improve and expedite the company's production processes. In addition to replacing handwritten notes with online ones, the project aims to improve communication between office and field, as well as making the onboard computers of agricultural machines manage information in real time.
"We are very optimistic about this unprecedented partnership of 4G TIM coverage in the field. Brazil has a very rich agribusiness sector and being able to bring technology and innovation to this segment is very important for the productive system of companies and the population. We are working hard to make the concept of Agriculture 4.0 a reality in several regions of our country”, explains Paulo Humberto Gouvêa, Director of Top Clients Solutions at TIM Brazil.
For this project, TIM provided the entire communication system of mobile devices, as well as investments in network infrastructure in the region, with the objective of getting around one of the main challenges of agribusinesses - the communication difficulty between the field and the office. The partnership will speed the information flow, as well as the contact between employees, besides promoting a signal total coverage in the field areas of the company’s two units.
"We have harvesters, tractors and equipment with high technology, but we can not always use it because of the lack of signal in the field. TIM is the first operator to develop a specific product to meet the needs of agribusiness. We are very excited about this partnership signed through Adial's Shopping Club, which, with actions like this, seeks to strengthen the industrial sector of the State of Goiás”, says Otávio Lage de Siqueira Filho, CEO of Jalles Machado.
In all, 812 smartphones and 1006 corporate lines will be provided, with 650 smartphones for field notes. The project is part of TIM's strategy to bring innovative connectivity and solutions to the most varied regions of the country, always attentive to the needs of medium and large companies, regardless of their place of business. The operator is the leader in the country's 4G coverage, present in more than three thousand cities. The expectation is that, by the end of the year, 96% of the population is covered with fourth-generation technology.
