Jalles Machado Foundation signs partnership with Dante Vôlei Institute
The Jalles Machado Foundation and the Dante Vôlei Institute signed a partnership for the implantation of the Institute in Goianésia city. The project will serve approximately 120 children, who will have free volleyball lessons.
Initially, classes will be offered to students at Luiz César de Siqueira Melo School, maintained by Jalles Machado Foundation. Subsequently, enrollment will be open to the community.
The institute is led by the former player of the Brazilian volleyball team, Dante Guimarães Santos do Amaral, or simply Dante, as was consecrated on the volleyball courts. Dante, born in the city of Itumbiara, State of Goiás, dedicated more than 20 years to the sport, winning three Olympic medals (one gold and two silver), three world championships, two world cups, and seven world leagues.
Dante was in Goianésia city to explain details of the project. “I am very happy to be here and to be able to establish this partnership with an important business group that believes in sport. Soon, we will launch the schedule with the initial activities in Goianésia”, he stressed.
The teachers and interns who will be part of the team in Goianésia must be selected in the region. Classes will be held at the Jalles Machado Sport Association Club.
“I am sure that this project will have a very important social role. It is a great joy to be able to give our children the opportunity to learn a sport from an Olympic champion. We will reap many benefits from this partnership”, says the CEO of Jalles Machado, Otávio Lage de Siqueira Filho.
Sirlei Carneiro, manager of the Luiz César de Siqueira Melo School, celebrated the opportunity that students will have. “I thank the Board of Directors of Jalles and Dante for offering our students and, in the future, the children of the entire community, the chance to participate in this great project”, she said.
